TARSUS, ISMETPASA URBAN DESIGN PROJECT

The proposed project is open towards its environment, support social reproduce of space throughout the day via land settlement. Thereby trading space is located on the Cumhuriyet Boulevard across the historical shaft within the hearth of the city for attracting citizens and creating an urban hub that is connecting to the dwellings. The residences in the project are located on the commercial plinth therefore security is provided by each dwellings and by this, the complex of the houses are not like a gated communities. Besides common space of garden in the project area, every residence has its own roof garden, terrace garden and courtyard unlike the similar dwellings around the neighborhoods’. Natural materials which are eco- friendly and light color that is proper under climatic conditions of Tarsus are chosen within the scope of the project. Particularly, at commercial spaces natural stones and sunshades, at residences natural wood and white sheathing are proposed in the project. Moreover, under hot climatic conditions the wide balcony usage at dwellings is designed in the project.

As long as abandoning the place for pedestrians and keeping comfortable conditions, the open and close car parks are proposed in the design of the project. Parking lots located in the ground floor. Closed parking area has totally 360 copy of cars including disabled and automated car parking system. Boulevard store with mezzanine, pedestrian circulation schema, and landscape pattern are the features of being attraction point in the cityscape for citizens.
